"Don't Touch My Caribeaner": Ziplining in Jamaica

Ocho Rios, Jamaica was our first port, and the place where we went ziplining !!!! Wooohhhhooooo !!

We started off with a bit of a drive . . . up, up, and higher up into the mountain/rain forest area. Jack and I had a front row seat on the bus for our drive: Jack was in the passenger seat of our crowded bus, and I sat next to him in a kind of fold-out/trundle seat, with my feet on the dashboard !!! Seatbelts, schmeatbelts . . . not on this bus !!! So we had a prime view of all the human-sized potholes in the road (a single lane that was actually a two-way road !), and the ravines over the side of the road (very few and small guardrails !!) Thank God our driver's name was Lucky . . . . that's exactly what we were to make it to our destination !! The ziplining was nothing after that ride !!!

After getting strapped into our harnesses and helmets, we were off ! There were about 9 or 10 different sections that made up the whole ziplining course. Here are a few videos that Jack took of our experience:

So glad we chose this activity . . . it was so much fun !!!!!!

More cruise posts to come . . . . !

How fun! When James and I went to Costa Rica, we were chickens and chose the treetop canopy walk instead of ziplining. But those rope and wooden bridges were pretty exhilerating, too!

We did ziplining in Alaska last summer--what a hoot! I could have zipped around all day.

I just noticed from your comment on Freckled Farm that you collect red transferware. Me too! They're my official Christmas dishes, but I use them all winter long. I love that you can acquire pieces that don't match and they still look good together.
